Creative Vision

We hone our craft in the commercial sphere of architecture and development (clients ranging from government bodies and developers through to boutique architectural practices), in the process bringing a unique artistry to the world of real estate, and then bestowing high levels of technical sophistication and training to the artistic endeavors we then pursue. We have a history of collaboration, support and participation in the Arts Sector. We have collaborated and/or directed a number of architecture biennales (“Now and When”, Australian Pavilion Venice 2011, Venice Virtual Pavilion 2004 and 2006, Beijing Biennale 2010), festivals (Gertrude Street Projection Festival in Melbourne 2014, Expanded Architecture Festival in Sydney 2011) project and grant work with local artists and regular competition work with firms such as Lyons Architecture and Ashton Raggatt McDougall. As lead producers, judges, editors and creators, the “When” component of the 2010 Venice Biennale was the outcome of the dual experiment of collaborating with 17 different architectural teams (themselves collaborations), adding an editorial role whilst investigating the potentialities of stereoscopic representation. The “When” show has subsequently toured Beijing, Seoul, Gold Coast, Sydney, Ballarat and Perth alongside John Gollings’ “Now” component.

Daniel regularly lectures, tutors and sits on judging or discussion panels which involve architecture, design, film and art. These include RMIT, Melbourne University, Monash, QUT, 3RRR The Architects to name a few. Our work is regularly published in a range of publications from the weekly property sections of the paper, architectural magazines through to 3d visualisation industry based books and websites. Daniel is the subject of a case study of best case use of Chaos Group’s software that will be shown around the world. FloodSlicer have drawn staff from a wide range of educational and experiential backgrounds. From musicians to multimedia artists, industrial, graphic and interior designers, I.T. specialists, film directors, stylists and of course always the architects.

All our work is state-of-the-art. Every image, every animation we make is a technological step forward. With each new project, we create something that has never been possible before.
